Steering Committee

The City of Lauderdale City Council appointed the Steering Committee (‘Committee’) for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update to serve as the working group for the project. The Committee is made up of twelve (12) members.

The next Steering Committee will take place on Wednesday, October 4th from 7:00-9:00 PM at City Hall. All of the Committee meetings are open to the public.

The City’s consultant team will facilitate each Committee meeting, and will focus on a specific plan topic throughout the process.  Generally, the topic areas include:

  • Visioning and Goal Setting
  • Land Use and Growth
  • Housing
  • Economic Competitiveness (Larpenteur Ave. and Industrial Areas)
  • Park, Trails, Open Space and Natural Resources
  • Infrastructure
  • Implementation
